The firm handles matters for individuals, partnerships, and corporations primarily in Immigration Law. It is located in downtown New York City. It has represented individuals and corporations throughout the United States and abroad. Federal immigration law determines whether a person is an alien, and respective legal rights, duties, and obligations in the United States. It provides the means in which aliens can obtain immigrant and nonimmigrant status. There are two types of visas: immigrant and nonimmigrant. Nonimmigrant visas are essentially issued to tourists, temporary employment visitors, and students. Immigrant visas, (“Green Card”) is usually obtained through a familial relationship or employment through a labor certification. They permit aliens to work and stay in the United States legally, and travel outside the United States with the ability to return. Immigration in the
United States is continuing to grow at a rapid pace. Due to the September
11th attacks on the United States, the Immigration and Naturalization
Service processes all types of immigration application at a slower pace
with increased scrutiny.
